What is Sounds of Sinai
Sounds of Sinai is a unique and inspiring way to raise money for Mount Sinai Hospital and the Sinai Health System. It is designed to celebrate the emotional power of music and inspire monetary donations.
Music is often used to help heal the sick and inspire the soul. We figured why not use it to help an entire hospital system improve its care.
The hospitals of the Sinai Health System are dedicated to delivering the best urban health care delivery possible.
We serve a community with deep needs that relies on your support.
It will be earmarked for our greatest needs. Anything that can improve patient care — from new hospital beds to life saving medical equipment.
Anyone with any kind of musical performance can upload a video to the site and become a fundraiser for Sinai.
It can be an original song or a cover song — vocal or instrumental, or both. It can be karaoke style, a cappella, a duet, a band, or a choir -- any type of musical performance that you wish to share in order to raise funds. The video can be anything from a smart phone shot video to professionally shot.
The performance can be any length and you can upload as many different songs as you wish.
The site easily allows you to alert your friends and family members to support your music with a donation, which will in turn support Sinai.
Just upload and fill out a performer page. You can even dedicate your music — for instance to a friend, a patient, or a caregiver...
Perhaps the best way for us to answer this is to let some music do the talking.
Here is a performance that was specifically created to celebrate the arrival of Sounds Of Sinai.
